Kenny set to take over at Shamrock Rovers

The ex-Dunfermline boss’ appointment will be confirmed later today, according to reports.

STEPHEN KENNY IS set to take over as manager of Shamrock Rovers, according to reports, with the appointment to be confirmed later today.

The ex-Dunfermline and Bohemians manager has been linked with the post after Michael O’Neill left the club, having guided to them to the Europa League group stages for the first time in their history, as well as helping them win back-to-back Airtricity League titles.

It is understood that Rovers will pay Derry City, Kenny’s current club, considerable compensation for his services.

Meanwhile, it is being rumoured that O’Neill has been offered the Northern Ireland job, after interviewing for the position earlier this month.
