ROY KEANE TOOK aim at Alex Ferguson again today and said he might never forgive the former Manchester United boss for their acrimonious split.
Keane blasted Fergie for turning on the players who brought him success during his years at Old Trafford.
And he admitted: “Will I ever forgive him? I don’t know. I don’t know.”

Coincidentally the two are in Dublin this evening with Ferguson set to address the Dublin Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner.
Keane was speaking at the media launch of his new autobiography, The Second Half, and quashed any talk of a friendly drink.
“You’ve worked with somebody for such a long time, and obviously we’ve had our disagreements and I departed and I have no problem with that. That’s fine.
“It’s afterwards when people started coming out with all sorts of nonsense.
For Alex Ferguson to criticise not just myself but other players who were part of a team that brought some good days to lots of supporters, for him to criticise that when you think of what he made out of it — he made millions of pounds, he’s got his statue, he’s got his stand named after him.
“I said at the time I wasn’t too worried about myself but to criticise people who brought him success was ridiculous.
“Will I ever forgive him? I don’t know. I don’t know.
“We’ll see if we ever cross paths again. I’m sure we will… cross paths.”
Between Roy Keane, Brian O’Driscoll, Rory McIlroy, Katie Taylor and a few other contenders I’d say that’s a tough one. Plus, if McGregor keeps winning fights, he might even enter that pantheon.
I wonder does he actually realise that he was a professional footballer ? Talk about loyality ?? The sport is about winning trophys and putting money in the ar*e pockets of those involved. He sounds like one of those fans that throws a hissy fit when a player moves to a rival club. It’s a professional team sport ffs.The nature of the beast is that players are nothing more than assets and when they are no longer useful they get the boot. They are paid more than enough to soften the blow.
I’m sure Ferguson is annoyed whether he speaks to him or not, why doesn’t he keep out of the lime light like he use to , oh yeh I forgot another book on his life. He probably is the best player to pull on the green jersey but he let his country down, an apology and less of “look at me i’m always right” arrogance is long overdue
Just read the book, he’s come across as a reasonable man. Though that doesn’t get clicks. “Jornalist” with your “accuracy” = tosser. If you want to be a journalist you have a duty to report the facts
“to criticise people who brought him success was ridiculous”…..ermmm am I the only one that can see the problem here?Ferguson brought Keane to his United side as a young lad and ultimately built the teams that brought Roy such success. Now Im a massive fan of both men but that quote is more than a tad contradictory in fairness.
One of the best players on the pitch, always gave his all to set down markers and win games but the side he shows of the pitch is sickening. Maldini, Zidane, Pirlo etc are of the same ilk but you wouldn’t see them come out and spout sh!te to criticise all thats wrong with players and managers they’ve dealt with in long careers. He’s a hypocrite and a class apart from the greats of football

Love Keano best Irish player we’ll ever see.
Agreed. I dislike him off the pitch but he was a hell of a presence on it.
Yeah he was a great player In his day but a but of a Jim Corr in him lately ..
His TV work was good and he be guaranteed a job there, he’s box office on or off the field so he is.
…and a glorious beard.
There’s only one Keaneo and he plies his trade in Los Angeles now.
@ Pontious. That is what I was trying to say the other regarding Sinead O’Connor and her autobiography.
Most of them are not worth reading and we are only lining the Authors pockets more.
I feel Sinead’s might be far more interesting!
Well said Daly
Who did she play for???
She’s better looking too. Certainly the best looking priest I’ve ever seen!
Those displays at home to Portugal and Holland were incredible.
are you talking about Jason McAteer?
I’m really getting to like Keane
Would go as far as saying Ireland’s most talented sports person ever!!!
Rory?
Delap?
Rory DeLap? He wasn’t great in fairness.
Katie Taylor for me
Wee Barry
John O’Shea??
Alex Higgins
Patrick Lyons
Joey Dunlop
Paul mc shane
Gary “donkey” Doherty.
Excellent player no doubt, never best in world though. Sonia, Coughlan, Kelly, Harrington and BOD all ahead of him imo.
Between Roy Keane, Brian O’Driscoll, Rory McIlroy, Katie Taylor and a few other contenders I’d say that’s a tough one. Plus, if McGregor keeps winning fights, he might even enter that pantheon.
Keane and Ferguson two men firmly stuck up their own arses!!
I’d call it honesty !!!
He carrys a lot of anger. Wouldn’t like to cross him in all honesty.
Just coz he acts hard doesn’t mean he is hard. All fart and no poo!
That match he squared up to Shearer. There would of been only one winner there and it wouldn’t of been Keane.
The only player to say what he thinks top man.
You obviously never seen Muzzy Izzet off the pitch then have ye?
I think you don’t know much about football Joe.
What’s the bloody point in getting the book now. I’m reading it on the journal all week!!!
Shhh this way I can get the main bits for free without buying it!
A bit Rich comming from a lad who turned his back on his country.Double standards Ry By !!!
Much and all as I admire Keane for his brilliant career but let it go FFS it’s becoming tiresome and mundane.
Great player btw and a good sense of humour.
Jeeezz….he’s some pain in the hole!!
Paul McGrath . Most natural and probably one of the best players ever to grace an irish team and a gentleman .
F.O Roy you mentaller !
Just read the book, he’s come across as a reasonable man. Though that doesn’t get clicks. “Jornalist” with your “accuracy” = tosser. If you want to be a journalist you have a duty to report the facts
You’d be lucky to find a journalist that report nothing but facts
For such a tough guy, he’s very thin skinned !
Ferguson and Keane are too alike, score settlers each.
Sick of this Roy Keane all over the media for the book, 12 years after the fact….shut the F up!
Marty morrissey
Judas Keane, the cheek of fergi to criticise, just as well you don’t indulge in that isn’t it !!
Roddy collins
Bored of this now….zzzz!
What’s the point in getting the bloody book now . I’m reading it on the journal.ie all week!!!
