FORMER ENGLAND OUT-HALF Jonny Wilkinson has signed a new one-year contract with Toulon, the French club confirmed this morning.
Wilkinson, who retired from international rugby in 2011, quashed speculation that he might hang up his boots with the announcement that he will stay at the Stade Mayol until the end of 2013/2014.
The 33-year-old has been plying his trade in the Top 14 since 2009 and helped Toulon finish as runners-up in the league last season, their best finish in 20 years.
The news comes as Toulon prepare for the biggest game in their recent history, the Heineken Cup semi-final against Saracens in Twickenham later this month.
