Some of the greats of the game never managed to claim the Celtic Cross.

SOME OF THE greats of the game have never managed to get their hands on that elusive Celtic Cross.

There was disappointing final defeats for some like players from Mayo, Kildare and Roscommon.

Others like Declan Browne and Matty Forde were feted as some of the greatest attackers but never managed to grace the stage on All-Ireland final day.
