Jose has a sarcastic dig at Roy Keane and Paul Lambert

The Aston Villa management team had heavily criticised Mourinho after his behaviour during a recent Premier League clash.

CHELSEA MANAGER JOSE MOURINHO has responded to criticism from Roy Keane and Paul Lambert by sarcastically referring to the Aston Villa pair as ‘great examples of polite and well-educated people’.

During his side’s 3-0 win over Villa at Stamford Bridge in late-September, Mourinho approached the visitors’ bench before the full-time whistle to shake their hands with Lambert and Keane before heading down the tunnel. Last week, Keane described the Portuguese as ‘a disgrace’ over his behaviour adding,

“The game is still going on. You wouldn’t do that on a Sunday morning, you would get knocked out.”

Lambert backed his assistant coach and also criticised Mourinho by saying ‘I just thought it was wrong. It’s not the way I was brought up.’

At his press-conference today, ahead of Chelsea’s trip to Crystal Palace on Saturday, self-anointed ‘Special One’ responded to in his typical, inimitable style.

I appreciate the comments. I think they are both two great examples of polite and very well-educated people, and because I’m a humble guy who tries to learn every day and with every experience, I appreciate the comments.”
