Is Joe Hart to blame again? Romelu Lukaku's opening goal for Everton

City’s keeper is back in the firing line.

POOR JOE HART.

After his grim European night against Bayern Munich in midweek, Manchester City’s keeper had to endure a raft of back page puns from ‘D’oh Hart’ to ‘Hart Failure.’

Manuel Pellegrini stuck with him for today’s lunchtime kick-off but there are going to be more questions after Hart got a soft hand to Romelu Lukaku’s opening goal but failed to stop it.

Here’s the goal. What do you think?

(Joleon Lescott, don’t think we haven’t noticed your woeful attempt to play Lukaku offside. We have.)

City hit back a minute later through Alvaro Negredo and lead 2-1 at half-time thanks to Sergio Aguero’s goal just before the break.

I’m no Man City supporter but I can’t see what hart did wrong, put up a clip of Negredo’s goal, could Howard save that.

There didn’t seem to be a huge power in the shot, the goalkeeper seemed to get a decent hand behind the ball. Keeper at fault, lescott’s mistake notwithstanding!
