Fresh from four seasons of handing the ball off to running backs and letting them do all the work, the Baltimore Ravens quarterback used the final year of his contract to show what he is actually capable of and there isn’t a much better negotiating tactic than winning the Super Bowl and being named MVP.
He was, of course, helped by more than a little luck along the way but his reward for one season of consistency is a new six-year deal, expected to top €92 million ($120 million), making him the highest paid player in NFL history.
