IRELAND’S MOST EXPERIENCED sports commentator Jimmy Magee has recorded a charity single.

The 79-year-old, whose son Paul died from Motor Neurone Disease in 2008, has released ‘These Old Eyes Have Seen It All’ with all proceeds going to the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA) and appeared on last night’s Late Late Show to perform.

He name-drops the likes of Jack Charlton, Brian O’Driscoll, Jim McGuinness and Barack Obama in the song and although we’ve heard better singing in the shower, it’s for a great cause.

I had this song in my head for a long time,” Magee told Ryan Tubridy. “I’m a prolific song writer… I write one ever quarter of a century.”
