Waterford win has given us momentum – Jimmy Barry Murphy

The Cork coach believes his side are capable of springing a surprise at the weekend.

THERE IS NO doubt that Cork are underdogs going into tomorrow’s All-Ireland SHC semi-final with Galway.

They were less-than-convincing in their recent win over Waterford, while Galway, on the other hand, secured an incredibly impressive Leinster SHC Final victory against Kilkenny back at the beginning of July.

However, given the renewed confidence in the Cork team in the aftermath of that Waterford game, coach Jimmy Barry-Murphy is optimistic his side have the ability to cause an upset.

You can view the full interview with the Cork boss and defender Tom Kenny below.

  • Cork hurlers havent a snowballs hope in hell of winning this years all ireland it would be just the same if waterford had won. Saying that it wont be a surpirse if Galway flop as usual. Cork wont beat Galway, but Galway could beat Galway. Galway by 3 or 4 points.
