Jersey score: Robbie's goal sparks Galaxy kit rush

“Keane 14″ strip is selling out quicker than the club can produce it, according to reports.

ROBBIE KEANE WASTED no time in getting on good terms with the LA Galaxy faithful, bagging a goal after just 21 minutes of his debut against the San Jose Earthquakes.

Now today’s Irish Sun (print edition) reports that the striker’s replica jersey is selling out faster than the MLS club can produce it.

Josef Momjiam, manager of a sports store in Pasadena, told Mark May that he had been forced to turn away a number of disappointed Galaxy fans because the “Keane 14″ strip was out of stock.

A spokesperson for the Galaxy confirmed that the replica jerseys were “selling very well,” but did not provide any comment on supply shortages.
