Mascherano gets sent off for kicking the dude who drives the stretcher

This is a new one.

ARGENTINA HAD TO settle for a 1-1 draw away to Ecuador in Quito tonight.

Sergio Aguero scored a 4th-minute penalty before Segundo Castillo equalised in the first half but the big talking point arrived when Barcelona’s Javier Mascherano was shown a straight red with two minutes to go.

While being stretchered off the pitch, the midfielder hard man decided to boot the medic driving the injury cart… supposedly for not giving him a water bottle.

That’s just rude.

I would be surprised if he has surely not had an MRI? I would hope he ‘has’ had.The article didn’t specify if the shooting sharp pains were running down the legs etc… But if they are, then a pinched nerve due to a disc problem is very common indeed. Taking painkillers and/or a standard X-Ray is really,to be honest, second guessing and papering over cracks. If these lads(as I am sure they do because they are top athlete’s) do weight training such as dead lifts and squatting etc… on top of all the other stuff then a problem such as an L5/S1 disc bulge is very common,to be honest. Anyway, I digress, an MRI takes all speculation out of the scenario and gets to the root(pun not intended) of the problem. Best wishes to him. Great hurler, top lad.

It doesn’t get any better Michael I’m sorry to say. Pain management is all you can do from now on.

    I’m a former prop.
