JACK TAYLOR HIT a hot streak last night. By the time he was finished, he had scored an incredible 138 points, shattering the NCAA record for the most points in a college basketball match.

Taylor had 58 points by half-time and added another 80 after the break as Division III Grinnell beat Faith Baptist Bible 179-104 in Iowa.

The youngster was pretty much all that basketball reporters, players and fans wanted to talk about last night and some of the reactions from the NBA’s biggest names are brilliant.

Carmelo Anthony: “I never heard of nothing like that. That’s like a video game.”

Raymond Felton: “His elbow has got to be sore.”

And Kobe Bryant who, as you might expect, had the definitive word on Taylor.

Would people be celebrating me if I scored 138 points? You know how it is, some people would, some people wouldn’t. They can all kiss my ass as I’m sure he feels the same way. If you score 138 points, you kind of have a licence to tell people to f**k off.
