Ireland’s top sports arenas now on Google Street View

You can have a good look around a couple of your favourite arenas from the comfort of your desk thanks to Google.

THOUGH IT USUALLY takes many years of practice and no little talent to get to Croke Park or Lansdowne Road, some of Ireland’s top sports arenas can now be explored from the comfort of your armchair.

Google’s online panoramic mapping service gives street level views to many streets and roads around the world and it now includes Irish tourist attractions – including the two Dublin stadiums – normally only accessible by foot.

Google captured the imagery last September with members of their team wheeling around some of the historic monuments on special street view tricycles.

Here’s some of what they captured. You can explore more by heading to Google Maps street view.
