IRELAND WILL TRAVEL to Hungary for their final preparation game before Euro 2012, it was confirmed today.
The FAI yesterday announced details of plans to hold a pre-tournament training camp in Italy after a friendly with Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Aviva Stadium on May 26.
And in a press release this afternoon, they have said that an agreement has been made with the Hungarian FA to host a fixture in Budapest’s Puskas Ference Stadium on June 4.
The 37th-placed team in the world didn’t qualify for this summer’s tournament as they finished third in Group E behind Holland and Sweden. Sandor Egervari’s side did record an impressive 2-1 win over the Swedes in September, however.
