Kevin Doyle puts Ireland 1-0 up against Oman

The Crystal Palace striker grabbed the only goal of the first half.

KEVIN DOYLE CELEBRATED his return to the Premier League with a goal against Oman in a sparsely populated Aviva Stadium this evening.

Doyle, now with Crystal Palace, rose highest to head home Robbie Brady’s corner just before the 20 minute mark.

Ireland have since squandered two good chances to double their lead through Anthony Pilkington and David Myler. However the score remains 1-0 at the break.
