Setanta Sports score 'exclusive' rights for Ireland's showdown with England at Wembley

The station will also show the game with Spain in New York.

SETANTA SPORTS SAY today they’ve landed exclusive rights to Ireland’s much-anticipated international friendly with England at Wembley on 29 May.

The station have also confirmed they’ll show the glamour challenge game with world and European champions, Spain, at New York’s Yankee Stadium on 11 June.

The last time Ireland played the Three Lions, of course, was in February 1995 when the game was abandoned due to crowd trouble. We’re more familiar with La Roja after that traumatic defeat at Euro 2012 in Poland.

Giovanni Trapaatoni’s men have four end-of-season fixtures lined up in total with a World Cup qualifier against  the Faroe Islands and another friendly with Georgia in Dublin.
