IRELAND HAVE MOVED up two places to 39th in the latest World Rankings released by FIFA.
The jump comes after Giovanni Trapattoni’s side recorded a 2-0 victory over Poland earlier this month.
Northern Ireland, meanwhile, have dropped out of the top 100 after drawing with Malta, while England have gone as high as fourth following their defeat of Brazil.
Scotland go up five places to 64th, and Wales have jumped 13 spots to 68th on account of their win over Austria.
In addition, Nigeria’s African Cup of Nations triumph means they are now 30th, while Spain remain in first place.
