Springboks, Wallabies confirmed as Ireland's next November opposition

And probably Georgia in between.

JOE SCHMIDT’S SECOND season in charge of Ireland’s international rugby team will start with the November 8 Test against South Africa at the Aviva Stadium.

The Springboks edged a tight contest on their last visit to Dublin, a 12 – 16 victory thanks to a Ruan Pienaar try just after half-time.

Ireland’s other confirmed opponent in the Guinness sponsored series will be Australia, who claimed convincing 15 – 32 win at Lansdowne Road last month in Schmidt’s second game in charge.

That Wallabies Test will take place on November 22, but confirmation of Ireland’s third November opponent is still to be made, though in all likelihood it will be Georgia who provide the November 15 breaker between the two southern hemisphere heavyweights.

Kick-off times are yet to be confirmed.
