Three Irish players in the IRB team of the Women's Rugby World Cup

Player of the tournament nominee Niamh Briggs was named a fullbck.

THREE IRISH PLAYERS have made the IRB Womenโ€™s Rugby World Cup dream team with player of the tournament nominee Niamh Briggs leading the way.

Briggs, who just missed out to Canadaโ€™s Magali Harvey for the individual award, starts at full back for the dream team and sheโ€™s joined in the XV by Gillian Bourke at hooker and Marie Louise Reilly in the second row.

The IRB also revealed that Claire Molly just missed out on a spot in the team.

    England only has two players picked and Ireland have 3? Not complaining, just seems a bit strange

    Four nominees for player of tournament also named before semi with none from Englandโ€ฆ Somebody with an awful lot of say doesnโ€™t think much of the newly crowned world champs
