The International Rules captain has been announced

A former All-Ireland winning skipper will lead Ireland Down Under.

IRISH INTERNATIONAL Rules manager Paul Earley has named Michael Murphy as his captain for the game Down Under next month.

Earley, who announced his squad this morning, confirmed that Donegal captain Michael Murphy would skipper the travelling party for the one-off game in Perth on 22 November.

Murphy captained Ireland in their series win last year and wore the armband when Donegal last claimed the All-Ireland title in 2012.

Cork’s Aidan Walsh has been confirmed as the vice-captain.

It was almost too easy against Arsenal until Ramseys goal and then suddenly we couldnt re-establish our focus……we were given numerous warnings by Giroud tho and still looked lethargic.
