What’s with the Jedward bashing? Are people jealous? Fair play to them they were athletes before X Factor. They brought in kids who normally wouldnt give a hoot about the Olympics I say well done to them and all the other athletes who carried the torch to day!
Any one else put the green envy monster away-
No, people are pissed off that people like Philip Murphy (a two-time World Champion in Olympic clay pigeon shooting) was passed over (what, two world championship medals and a host of world cup medals aren’t enough?) and the likes of them were picked to carry the torch.
It’s pissing on the people actually *in* Olympic sport in Ireland. And don’t tell me they were athletes. Winning a community games race is a ways off from bringing home World Championship medals in an Olympic sport.
