BRITAIN’S QUEEN ELIZABETH II made an historic stop at GAA headquarters, Croke Park this afternoon.
The visiting monarch met local children in county colours, toured the state-of-the-art facility and took in a video presentation on the Association’s history while sitting on the hallowed turf.
On the ground where 14 civilians were killed by British forces on Bloody Sunday in 1920, the Queen enjoyed a 50-minute tour of the Jones’ Rd facility, a visit which for many years would have been unthinkable.
