So, so embarrassed for all the Poles engaged in those bandit fights, I know Russians did a lot of bad to us, but we were no saints either, and it’s time we build ourselves a bridge and get over it. Luckily about 38 million people understand it, unfortunately about 2 million still not and some of them are on those pictures actually. I am saddened Polish government does not do enough to tackle bandits and such behaviour. The fInes are way too lenient for hooligans, they don’t feel enough respect, I hope this Euro 2012 gives them perspective and things finally will be changing.

I have to say that even though I’m Polish I’m quite offended by this. I mean yes it was us who punched first but sorry ”This is Russia” seriously? This is on going battle and if anyone just for a second thought that it will be peaceful stuff was totally wrong.

sorry I’ve got one correction for the journal. they are not fans they’re thugs
-
Sean sorry to disagree, real fans are there for the game. These muppets turn up to fight. They coordinate with rival gangs before games to fight and even bring their own medics. How can you confuse these thugs with real fans. It easy to pass an uninformed comment that labels true fans with these thugs but sorry there is a huge difference.

People of Russia,Ukraine and Poland get on just fine despite a lot of history there between Ukraine and Poland alone. It’s only some drugged or drunk idiots who create news headlines ‘cos they think it’s cool and makes them look patriotic or smth….Do they think what it makes their country look like in the news?Of course they dont ‘cos they have no brains or pride.

The Russians walked into a stadium in Warsaw Poland with a flag saying ‘This is Russia’, if that’s not incitement then I don’t know what is. People on the Journal comments section got pretty irate over a Starbucks mistake last week, imagine if we were playing England in the Aviva and their fans unfurled a flag saying ‘This is still Britain’ – you’d have a few people from the right wing of Irish society get off their couches and make their way to the stadium guaranteed.
I’m not saying this is right, in fact it’s very wrong but I don’t blame the Poles for reacting, it’s human nature. The Polish police should have been tougher. Anyway, if you were there (I wasn’t) I’m sure it would be obvious that it’s just a few thugs and the majority just wanted good game and the media do all they can to blow it out of proportion.-
I think it’s just from the movie: 300 Spartans. You also need to know that there is Russian team named after Spartacus, one of the strongest. Nobody said that Poland is still Russia. Go and grow sense of humor and will see how Polish fans will behave in Kiev.

The guy lying on the ground in picture #4 i think (red tshirt) is in the first video in the other thread and he throws a punch at someone and literally now less than 2 seconds later hes on the ground looking completley KO’d…id say he got a batton on the back of the head

Some fellows are proud – to make two brother nations such a big enemies. 600 000 soviet soldiers who died liberating Poland from Hitler – will stay silent. Drunken idiots, both sides. This is what happens when people have lost their ideals. Czterej pancerni i pies / Четыре танкиста и собака

A few family members and friends in Poznan and Gdansk and they and their mates r (and the irish )mixing well with locals, and rivals and having great craic.Media looking for an outrageous story as per usual, the last thing the fans need is a backlash from grumpy arses in Ireland, and us at home not supporting. Anyone remember when we held the EU summit 2004/2005 pretty bad.News networks stayed on that story all day. I don’t think I saw a paper or news channel report on what was happening in the summit that weekend at all apart from rioting.COYBIG. And a lot of Irish luck
