I reckon Copeland should actually make the bench for next week. Sure he only had 18 minutes, but he actually had a hand in setting up some of the tries and certainly did a few things that oftentimes Ryan struggled to do.

Her’s the team for next week, in my humblest opinion:

    15. Kearney
    14. Bowe
    13. Payne (if he’s fit, as there will be expansive rugby) (or Henshaw)
    12. D’arcy
    11. Zebo
    10. Sexton
    09. Murray
    01. Kilcoyne (really imposed himself.) (Tough decision, honestly).
    02. Cronin (great ball cariier.)
    03. Ross
    04 Toner
    05 o’Connell
    06 O’Mahony
    07 Ruddock
    08 Heaslip

    16 Strauss
17 McGrath (great player, but was a struggle at the scrum. Killer fared better.)
18 Ah You (was grand actually, and there’s no other option atm.)
    19 Foley
    20 Copeland
21 Reddan (Marmion didn’t have enough time to prove himself) :/
    22 Madigan
    23 Jones

Conor, “Killer fared better in the scrum”? You can’t possibly compare SA front row to Georgia and the Irish scrum went backwards on more than one occasion today.

You’re forgetting Gary that having come up against fairly powerful props for South Africa, McGrath got penalized 2-3 times. Killer didn’t concede anything and maybe once or so, the scrum moved back a bit, but Killer maintained stability throughout. Also made great yardage, especially his break, the first of many for Ireland. I haven’t seen McGrath do it, even though he’s quite clever, as he showed us lst week.

Another thing you should remember Gary. Lenihan said during commentary that of the 42-46 Georgians playing club rugby, half of them are props. Between both the top class fornt rows of SA and Georgia, there’s not much difference, so Killer did have a daunting task, even if the teams in general are totally different.

Conor…you’re seriously on the Bon Bons… D’arcy is past it and Schmit will see that. Olding/Henshaw/Payne will fill those positions. The team will be the same as last week depending on Payne.

Last second thoughts, were Schmidt to make changes.

If he opts for a more physical presence, he could put Diack at 6 for O’Mahony (possible but unlikely.)
If he opts for a truly expansive kicking game, Madigan might start 12 instead of Darcy (showed us what he can do in the wide spaces in the center of the field.)

Conor must be Munster fan, he got copeland on the bench after 18 min in his 1st cap, I think Diack did a lot more and great in the line out for 80 min,
