Immobile and Aubameyang strike for Dortmund to punish poor Arsenal defending

Borussia are 2-0 up at the Westfalenstadion.

ARSENAL TRAIL BORUSSIA Dortmund 2-0 in the second half of their Champions League Group D clash at the Westfalenstadion thanks to goals from Ciro Immobile and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Italian international striker Immobile, who joined the Bundesliga outfit from Torino during the summer, manufactured an impressive goal – his first for the club – on the stroke of half-time, bursting between Laurent Koscielny and Kieran Gibbs before finishing smartly to the left of Wojciech Szczęsny.

Immobile’s classy goal was just reward for Dortmund’s performance in the opening 45 minutes against an Arsenal team that failed to retain possession and looked shaky when Jürgen Klopp’s side attacked.

Early in the second half, Aubameyang benefited from more poor defending by Arsene Wenger’s men to double Dortmund’s lead.
