Replay double-header fixed for 30 September

The Ladies’ football final triple bill scheduled for the same day will be pushed back by a week to 7 October.

GALWAY AND KILKENNY will meet again on 30 September in the All-Ireland SHC final replay, the GAA confirmed on Sunday evening.

Joe Canning pointed a free deep into additional time as the sides played out a thrilling 2-13 to 0-19 draw in Croke Park — the first time since 1959 that the final has ended level.

The replay of the minor hurling decider between Dublin and Tipperary has also been fixed for 30 September after the curtain-raiser ended 1-16 to 2-13.

As a result the Ladies’ football final triple bill scheduled for Croke Park on the same day will be pushed back by a week to 7 October.

Cork face Kerry in the senior final, a repeat of July’s Munster final between the two counties, a game Cork won by six points.

Louth and Antrim meet in the junior final while Armagh must wait to learn if it will be Fermanagh or Waterford standing in their way in the intermediate final.
