MONAGHAN WILL HOST Louth in Clones this Sunday after they successfully appealed the Central Hearings Committee’s decision to strip them of home advantage.
The Disputes Resolution Authority met last night and overturned the one-game penalty, imposed by the CHC after Monaghan refused to accept a €5,000 fine for their part in a brawl during last month’s NFL Division 2 game against Kildare.
The case will now revert back to the CHC to reconsider the penalty, but Monaghan said that Sunday’s game will now take place in St Tiernach’s Park as originally scheduled.
“All in Monaghan GAA look forward to the this eagerly awaited home fixture,” a statement said.

Kildare were hit with a similar €5,000 fine by the CHC but withdrew their initial appeal for fear of losing home advantage themselves.
