MAYO’S CORA STAUNTON scored a whopping 4-8 in Mayo’s 5-11 to 0-11 victory over Westmeath in the TG4 All Ireland Ladies Senior Football Championship qualifiers on Saturday.

The result moves the Connacht side into the quarter finals where they’ll take on Kerry on Saturday August 24.

If Staunton remains in this kind of form, it’s hard to see anything but a Mayo victory.

Shocking waste of license payer money sending him(self?) down there to commentate when there was already a very capable guy there. Sounds like a junket for the Head of Sport who also happens to be a passionate rugby fan!

He sounds like the Alan Hughes of sports commentating. Purely awful, the other guy who sounded like Tubridy wasn’t as bad
