Here's why Amir Khan thinks someone 'interfered' with judges in that defeat

British boxer took to Twitter last night to post a series of pictures of the ringside goings on in Washington.

AMIR KHAN LAST night alleged that an unidentified man โ€˜interferedโ€™ with ringside judges during his loss to Lamont Peterson.

The Bolton star lost, contoversially, on points in Washington โ€“ and an appeal against the decision will be held in the coming weeks. Khan was deducted two points for pushing by the ref, but he has now insists there are scorecard irregularities.

Khan yesterday took to Twitter to post a series of images from the fight footage depicting a mysterious man in a cap sitting at the shoulder of fight supervisor Michael Welsh.

โ€œWatch the fight from 9.10 seconds of this video there is a guy wearing a grey suit with a blue shirt wearing a hat.

โ€œSat on the main judges panel at the front on the right hand side 3rd to the end.

โ€œNo1 knows who this guy is and he is now being asked to move by Michael Walsh who is the main supervisor for the wba as he should be sat there.

โ€œHe now gets a chair and sits slightly infront of @OscarDeLaHoya and my father.

โ€œAt the beginning of round 2 he manages to squeeze in at the front again sat next to Michael Walsh.

โ€œNow the IBF and the WBA have still not confirmed who this guy is till this date and what he was doing there.. Now the interesting part.

โ€œNow this guy doesnโ€™t do anything apart from watching the fight but thatโ€™s only until round 6 when he starts to interfere!

โ€œFrom round 6 all the way through to round 12 this guy starts to interfere with what Michael Walsh is doing and they are both not watching the fight, watch the video and have a look for yourselfs.

โ€œThis is what I meant on how he was interfeering, as no one is allowed according to the rules to touch hold the scorescards or even talk to the judges n commision during the fight.

โ€œThere are 3 judges in a fight n all have different colour slips, n at the end of evry round thy get passed on to the wba ibf n dc commision.

โ€œThis pic shows here in round 6 the guy wearing the hat clearing picks up one of the judges white slips n if you watch the video slides it down and towards him.

โ€œAnd this guy doese it again at the beginning of round 7, n carries on throughout all the way to the end of the fight wtf?

โ€œAgain in round 8 and round 9, cleary not watching the fight at all and not allowing Michael Walsh to watch too.

โ€œThis time in round 11 heโ€™s seen here clearly picking up a yellow judges slip.. Strictly againts the rules.โ€

Ah come on. It isnโ€™t a broken toe granted but that does look well dodgy & boxing is renowned for malpractice

Iโ€™m not a boxing fan and certainly not a fan of Amir Khan but that does look fishy.

That and the picture of the man in question celebrating with the guy who won..

I thought that Peterson won the fight by a round, even without the deductions.. But there is certainly something fishy about this guy if you watch the video. I donโ€™t think the article does it justice. Boxing is surrounded by corruption. Pacquiao clearly lost to Marquez in his last fight, but was given the nod because itโ€™s all about money. I love boxing, but I fucking hate the people involved outside of the ring.

Itโ€™s a strange one alright, Khan deserved to lose and his pushing and running around the ring cost him the fight, he is all talk and never backs it up, if he moved up a weight division he would be hammered easily.

He has a serious point. By the judge missing the match because of the chap in the hat talking to him he may have missed crucial moments where Khan might have gotten points or Peterson might have gotten some deducted or vice versa. Also, that 10 crossed out looks well dodgy considering it would have meant he would have beat Peterson by a point. He definitely has a case.

I love the comments about him being a bad loser. Theyโ€™re ridiculous. If it was you in this situation and you lost the world titles you worked your whole life for and saw a guy clearly interfering with a scorecard youโ€™d just take it on the chin? Up to this point I was dubious about Khans claims but now its a certainty something fishy is going on. I imagine it will be declared a NC and theyโ€™ll go at it again this year. Khan will stick to the gameplan he abandoned in the first fight and take a win.
