King Henry probably won't be fit for Kilkenny's first Championship game

The nine-time All-Ireland winner has a stress fracture in his left foot.

HENRY SHEFFLIN ADMITS that he is unlikely to be fit in time for Kilkennyโ€™s Leinster Championship opener.

The nine-time All-Ireland winner is still recovering from a stress fracture in his left foot and faces a race against time before the Catsโ€™ game against Offaly on 7 June.

Shefflin was wearing a protective boot on doctorโ€™s orders when he appeared in Croke Park this morning to launch Centraโ€™s sponsorship of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship.

He will have a much clearer idea of his comeback timetable when he returns to see the specialist next week.

โ€œI am back to him on Friday week so Iโ€™m not saying I am definitely gone,โ€ Shefflin said.

โ€œBut more than likely itโ€™s going to be very hard to see me back for the first round, to be truthful about it.โ€

Cody and kk have risked Shefflin before when he was unfit, they have rushed him back from very serious injuries a few times also.
Dont be one bit suprised if Henry makes his Skysports debut agin Ofally.
