HENRY SHEFFLIN ADMITS that he is unlikely to be fit in time for Kilkennyโs Leinster Championship opener.
The nine-time All-Ireland winner is still recovering from a stress fracture in his left foot and faces a race against time before the Catsโ game against Offaly on 7 June.
Shefflin was wearing a protective boot on doctorโs orders when he appeared in Croke Park this morning to launch Centraโs sponsorship of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship.
He will have a much clearer idea of his comeback timetable when he returns to see the specialist next week.
โI am back to him on Friday week so Iโm not saying I am definitely gone,โ Shefflin said.
โBut more than likely itโs going to be very hard to see me back for the first round, to be truthful about it.โ
Hardly gona rush him back for a non contest with Offaly shane
Cody and kk have risked Shefflin before when he was unfit, they have rushed him back from very serious injuries a few times also.
Dont be one bit suprised if Henry makes his Skysports debut agin Ofally.
