West Ham's Demel out of hospital after concussion

The defender collided with his team-mate.

WEST HAM DEFENDER Guy Demel has left hospital after sustaining concussion during his side’s 2-0 win at Cardiff City on Saturday, the London club announced on Sunday.

Demel was stretchered off in the early stages of the Premier League game at the Cardiff City Stadium following an accidental collision involving Cardiff striker Fraizer Campbell and team-mate Roger Johnson.

The Ivory Coast right-back subsequently spent Saturday night in hospital, before being released on Sunday morning.

“Guy Demel has been released from hospital this morning,” West Ham announced on their official Twitter page.

“He suffered concussion from a head injury picked up in the 2-0 win at Cardiff.”
