BRIGHTON AND HOVE Albion have suspended manager Gus Poyet as well as his assistant and first-team coach.
The Championship outfit released a statement on Thursday to confirm the decision to suspend all three members of the coaching staff, with assistant Mauricio Taricco and coach Charlie Oatway joining Poyet in being told to stay away from from the club.
The statement, published on the club’s official website, read: “Brighton and Hove Albion has confirmed that it has suspended its manager, assistant manager, and its first team coach from their duties.
“The club will now follow its internal procedures with regard to this matter and will make no further comment at this time.”
Brighton lost their Championship play-off semi-final against rivals Crystal Palace at the Amex Stadium on Monday and a statement published confirmed the three will cease work at the club immediately.
This is the Uruguayan’s first job in management and the former Chelsea and Tottenham midfielder has been linked with a move to Everton once boss David Moyes departs the club for Manchester United.
A case of the seagulls crapping on themselves.
