JUVENTUS SAID GOODBYE and thank you to a club legend today as veteran striker Alessandro del Piero played his final home game for the Serie A giants.

The 37-year-old, who made over 700 appearances in his 19 seasons in black and white, signed off with a goal and a league medal as Antonio Conte’s men beat Atalanta 3-1 to complete an unbeaten season.

“I’ve celebrated alongside my team-mates, on the pitch, doing what I like most: winning,” an emotional del Piero said after leaving the pitch to a lengthy ovation.

What I saw in the supporters’ eyes was wonderful. There’s a unique rapport between us, for what we’ve gone through over the years, also in the most critical moment of the club’s history. Those who have always played for the same team gain people’s gratitude. I want to enjoy this moment.
