'Luis Suarez making it very difficult for himself to stay at Liverpool' - Souness

Both managers refused to comment on the incident, with Brendan Rodgers saying he’ll “review it”.

EX-LIVERPOOL GREAT Graeme Souness has condemned the behaviour of Luiz Suarez, after he bit an opponent during his side’s game with Chelsea at Anfield today.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Graeme Souness called the incident “embarrassing” and said:

“He’s making it very difficult for himself to stay at Liverpool.

“It’s going to show Liverpool in a bad light. It just can’t happen – it just puts him in the last chance saloon.

“There are lines you can’t cross and he’s crossed that today. The thing that suffers above all is this football club.

“That’s what children do when they’re in the pram.”

Souness’ colleague, Jamie Redknapp, said that Suarez has “the madness-genius gene” and added:

“To physically want to bite someone is an incredible act of brutality. He has a problem. It’s such a shame,” he said.

“I’ll be surprised if he plays again this season.”

However, Redknapp believes Liverpool will still be willing to stick with the controversial striker, saying: “I’d be surprised if that’s the end of him.”

Meanwhile, both sides’ managers refused to comment, with Brendan Rodgers explaining:

“The only comment at this stage is we’ll review it.”

Nah, just having a nip at a hypocritical Sky sychophant like Souness……the same man who brought plenty of his own clubs into disrepute and whilst managing them too! He has a short selective memory when indulging the super sunday hype-fests!!

Skys coverage is getting worse by the day.
I do get a great laugh out of Jamie Rednapp. Mr state the obvious. They have to be getting a grant for employing him for football analysis. .

Bit harsh on Defoe, lets hope Ivanovich is as forgiving as Mascherano and when the orgy of outrage and over-reaction has blown its load, Suarez is eventually let get back on with doing with what he does best……being undefendable with a ball at his feet!!
