Giroud shows sublime touch to put Arsenal ahead, kisses armband in Hillsborough tribute

The Frenchman fired Arsenal into the lead on 55 minutes.

OLIVIER GIROUD SERVED up two lovely touches in a matter of seconds as he gave Arsenal the lead against West Ham tonight.

The first was with his left foot, deftly trapping a dropping ball before firing the Gunners’ second goal past Adrian.

The Frenchman then paid his own tribute to the 96 fans who died in the Hillsborough disaster, kissing the black armband worn for today’s 25th anniversary and pointing to the sky.
