Gary and Phil's dad Neville Neville arrested over alleged indecent assault

The father of the ex-England internationals has been questioned by Manchester Police.

NEVILLE NEVILLE, the father of former England internationals Gary and Phil, has been arrested on suspicion of indecent assault, it has been reported.

The 63-year-old, whose sons both played for Manchester United before Gary’s retirement and Phil’s move to Everton, is alleged to have committed sexual assault on March 23. He has been let out on bail until the hearing in May.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Greater Manchester Police have released a statement which reads: “Police are investigating a sexual assault which happened in the early hours of Saturday 23 March 2013 in the North Manor area of Bury.

“A 63-year-old man from Bury was arrested on suspicion of indecent assault and has been bailed till May pending further enquiries. Enquiries are ongoing.”
