GARTH BROOKS IS not coming to town — but Bohemians are doing their bit for fans disappointed by the cancelled Croke Park concerts.

The Phibsboro football club have teamed up with 98FM’s Ray Foley Show to stage a tribute gig in Dalymount Park on Saturday 26 July.

“The Ultimate Garth Brooks Experience” will be headlined by Irish band Friends in Low Places, and proceeds will go towards Temple Street Children’s Hospital.

One of Ireland’s most famous football grounds, Dalymount has previously played host to international superstars like Thin Lizzy, Bob Marley, Meat Loaf and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Bohs play Cork City on Friday 25 July, leaving a short turnaround before the concert the following evening.
