GARTH BROOKS IS not coming to town โ but Bohemians are doing their bit for fans disappointed by the cancelled Croke Park concerts.
The Phibsboro football club have teamed up with 98FMโs Ray Foley Show to stage a tribute gig in Dalymount Park on Saturday 26 July.
โThe Ultimate Garth Brooks Experienceโ will be headlined by Irish band Friends in Low Places, and proceeds will go towards Temple Street Childrenโs Hospital.
One of Irelandโs most famous football grounds, Dalymount has previously played host to international superstars like Thin Lizzy, Bob Marley, Meat Loaf and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Bohs play Cork City on Friday 25 July, leaving a short turnaround before the concert the following evening.
Very clever, fair play to them
100k stetson hats on sale Iโd say!
But what about the Phibsboro residents?
I think thereโs an agreement them that thereโll be no more than zero gigs in the stadium each year.
Us Fizzboro residents are pretty chilled โ no worries.
Was wondering when someone would get the finger out and organise something like this. Great idea. Hope they make a mint
Same here. All those Garth Brooks fans with nowhere to go.
Hope concertgoers all park in drumcondra and walk up..
