HOLDERS COROFIN CRUISED into another Galway SFC final easily defeating Milltown at Tuam Stadium.
With Justin Burke effective inside, Corofin settled quickly as Milltown were put under severe pressure.
Three fine scores from the effective Burke, who was subsequently forced off injured, ensured Corofin accumulated a 0-6 to 0-1 interval advantage as Milltown’s forwards were starved of quality possession.
When Milltown got ball inside, the shot selection was poor as the underdogs only took one of the seven first-half chances they created.
It was a similar story of Corofin supremacy after the restart as Michèal Lundy’s pace continued to cause Milltown problems, netting a 43rd-minute goal from Liam Silke following smart approach work by lively substitute Ian Burke and Gary Sice
Further goals from Ian Burke, Lundy, and Michael Farragher sealed an emphatic victory for an utterly dominant Corofin.
Sean Blake and Ciaran Blake were sent off in the closing stages to conclude Milltown’s afternoon of epic misery.

A replay will be required to determine who joins Corofin in the Galway SFC final following this dramatic draw at Tuam Stadium.
Trailing by three points Barna staged a dramatic recovery mission to hit four points in a row to edge in front before St Michael’s Greg Rogan nailed a free.
With Alan Glynn and Jamie Downes influential in defence St Michael’s shaded the first half eventually departing with a 0-8 to 0-5 interval.
St Michael’s started brightly kicking three points without reply before Barna responded with a burst of their own.
But as the interval loomed Eddie Hoare drilled over two frees as St Michael’s deservedly went in ahead at the break.
With Hoare playing a central role Michael’s had a 0-11 to 0-8, but Barna replied with points courtesy of Jason Lyons (2), Declan Walsh, and substitute DD Flaherty.
With the issue delicately poised Rogan tayed cool under pressure to ensure the teams must meet again.
