  Spot on John. Ref soaking up some of the headlines again. Not sure about the sending off but really poor call re the disallowed goal. Guy who scored the goal then sent off a few minutes later. At the very least I’m sure he was very frustrated with having his goal disallowed. Kilkenny the better team but Galway were coming back into it. Could have been some last fifteen minutes

No ref in world could have saved Galway yesterday. Too much talk coming out of Galway for last week aswell but fair play to them for 2 great matches. Another double for us again this year with league safely tucked away or does everyone forget that ..

Yes, disallowing the Galway goal crucial and ridiculous. Sending off was for a strike to the head, but you can’t do that cos they all wear helmets. Doubt it hurt at all. Kilkenny playing very cynically, foul a lot and then stand in front of player to stop quick free or even run off with the ball! Referee very weak.

When are teams going to get a fair call when they play Kilkenny bad calls made a mess of a great final what’s the point of having a championship when teams have to face refs like that in a final

Why is all the responsibility put on one man’s shoulders (the ref). Where video evidence clearly shows that a wrong call has been made there should be proceedures to over rule the error. Thomas Murphy.
