Here’s the GAA coverage coming up on TV and radio this weekend

There’s plenty to watch on the box and listen to on the airwaves this weekend.

IT’S ANOTHER MASSIVE weekend of GAA action. Here’s what coming up on TV and Radio over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Friday

Thank GAA It’s Friday is on RTÉ 2 at 8.30pm featuring Kildare footballer Alan Smith lost in a maze and Dublin U21 hurler Cormac Ryan who has defied heart problems to compete in the Poc Fada.

There’s also a look back on the rain-soaked Kerry-Galway All-Ireland quarter-final in 2008 and a referee diary with Brian Gavin from Tipperary-Dublin last weekend. Journalist Colm Keys looks ahead to the weekend’s GAA action as well.

Saturday

All-Ireland SFC Round 4B qualifiers
Meath v Armagh, Croke Park, 5pm

Sky Sports 3 broadcast the live TV coverage of this clash with Rachel Wyse and Brian Carney. Newstalk have live coverage with Sean Cavanagh, Anthony Moyles, Colm Parkinson and Dave McIntyre.

RTÉ Radio’s coverage is supplied by reporter Pauric Lodge with Joe Brolly and John Maughan in studio on Saturday Sport with Des Cahill and Joanne Cantwell. There’ll be local radio commentary on LMFM.

Kildare v Monaghan, Croke Park, 7pm

There’s also live coverage of this game on Sky Sports 3. RTÉ Radio’s live commentary is supplied by Brian Carthy on commentary alongside analyst Kevin McStay while Pat McAuliffe is on the sideline. Local radio coverage comes from KFM and Northern Sound.

All-Ireland senior football quarter-finals
Kerry v Galway, Croke Park, 2pm

This game is live on ‘The Sunday Game’ with Michael Lyster joined by Ciaran Whelan, Colm O’Rourke and Joe Brolly. Marty Morrissey and Tom Carr are on commentary duty.

Live coverage from Newstalk with Darragh O’Sé, Liam McHale, Colm Parkinson and Dave McIntyre. Radio Kerry and Galway Bay FM have local radio commentary.

Brian Carthy reports on the game for RTÉ Radio while Pat Spillane and Eamon O’Hara are the guests in studio on Sunday Sport with presenters Darren Frehill and Jacqui Hurley.
