GAA team sheets: here's how they'll line out in the football and hurling this weekend

There’s a bumper programme of league games in both codes this weekend. Here’s what you need to know.

NFL Divison 1

CIARAN SHEEHAN’S SHOULDER injury forces the only change for Cork ahead of this evening’s meeting with All-Ireland champions Donegal in Páirc Uí Rinn.

Sheehan is replaced by Donncha O’Connor, who comes in at centre-forward alongside Fintan Goold and Mark Collins.

Alan O’Connor and Daniel Goulding are both passed fit to take their place among the replacements.

Cork (SF v Donegal): Ken O Halloran; Michael Shields, Jamie O’Sullivan, Eoin Cadogan; Paudie Kissane, Noel O’Leary, Tomás Clancy; Graham Canty, Aidan Walsh; Fintan Goold, Donncha O’Connor, Mark Collins; Barry O’Driscoll, Colm O’Neill, Paul Kerrigan.

KIERAN MCGEENEY HAS made four changes to his Kildare side for this evening’s trip to face Mayo in Castlebar.

Hugh Lynch, Morgan O’Flaherty, Daniel Flynn and Niall Kelly all come back into the side that was beaten by Dublin in Croke Park last weekend, the Lilywhites’ first defeat of the Division 1 campaign.

NFL Division 2

ANTHONY MASTERSTON RETURNS in goal as Wexford continue their promotion push against Westmeath on bank holiday Monday.

It’s the only change made by manager Aidan O’Brien following their hard-fought 2-13 to 2-9 win against Louth last week.

AIDAN MCALYNN RETURNS to the Derry attack for the visit of Longford to Celtic Park this evening.

The only other change for the Oak Leaf comes in goal where Glenullin’s Eoin McNicholl replaces Thomas Mallon.

TONY KERNAN WILL lead the line for Armagh when they take on Louth in the Athletics Grounds this evening.

Kernan’s return is one of four changes to the side which drew against Derry last weekend with Finnian Moriarty, Anto Duffy and Stefan Campbell all coming in for Paul Grimley’s men.

NHL Division 1A

WILLIAM EGAN RETURNS for the Cork hurlers when they host Clare in Páirc Uí Rinn tonight (throw-in 7pm).

Egan resumes his usual position at wing-back, replacing Stephen White, while the only other change sees Bride Rovers’ Brian Murphy come in at full-back for the injured Stephen McDonnell.

The game will be Patrick Cronin’s first home game as captain having sat out the win against Tipperary through suspension.

LIMERICK HURLING BOSS John Allen makes a total of seven changes for this evening’s curtain-raiser against Dublin in Croke Park.

Nicky Quaid, Stephen Walsh, Cathal King, Donal O’Grady, Paudie O’Brien, Niall Moran and Seanie Tobin all come back in to the side which beat Carlow last weekend.

LIAM DUNNE HAS made wholesale changes to his Wexford team for this afternoon’s game against Antrim in Wexford Park. Lee Chin and Eoin Quigley are among those named in the starting XV having come off the bench in the defeat to Offaly last weekend.

Mark McFadden, Conor Laverty and Shane McNaughton all come in for Antrim.
