As it happened: GAA senior club championship action

We went minute-by-minute, as a number of important GAA senior club championship fixtures took place this afternoon.

Connacht SFC club quarter-final: St Brigid’s (Roscommon) 2-19 Melvin Gaels (Leitrim) 0-10, Kiltoom (FT).

Galway SHC semi-final: Gort 0-9 St Thomas 0-9 Kenny Park, Athenry (FT).

Galway SHC semi-final: Turloughmore 0-6 Loughrea 1-12, Kenny Park, Athenry, (FT).

Meath SFC final: Navan O’Mahony’s 1-11 Wolfe Tones 0-7, Páirc Tailteann, Navan, (FT)

Westmeath SFC final replay: Mullingar Shamrocks 0-12 Garrycastle 1-8, Cusack Park, Mullingar (FT).

Clare SHC final: Cratloe 0-9 Newmarket-on-Fergus 3-10, Cusack Park, Ennis, (FT).

Kerry SFC final: Dr Crokes 2-13 Dingle 0-8, Austin Stack Park, (FT).

Munster SHC club quarter-final: Kilmallock (Limerick) 0-15 Thurles Sarsfields (Tipperary) 2-12, Kilmallock (FT).

Tipperary SFC semi-finals: Clonmel Commercials 4-11 Loughmore-Castleiney 4-9, Leahy Park, Cashel, (FT)

Ulster SHC club final: Loughgiel Shamrocks (Antrim) 2-15 Portaferry (Down) 0-12, Casement Park, (FT).

14.10 – The current score in the Kilkenny semi-final is O’Loughlin Gaels 0-6 Ballyhale 0-10. It’s into the second half in that game.

14.17Munster SHC club quarter-final: Kilmallock (Limerick) 0-3 Thurles Sarsfields (Tipperary) 0-3, Kilmallock.

It’s been a lively start in the big game in Munster, with the scores level at three points apiece after about 10 minutes.

14.32Kilkenny SHC semi-final: O’Loughlin Gaels 0-10 Ballyhale Shamrocks 1-15.

Ballyhale seem well in control now, and look set for a place in the final, with Danny Loughnane among the scorers in that game.

14.51Westmeath SFC final replay: Mullingar Shamrocks 0-2 Garrycastle 0-4.

Points from Conor Cosgrove and Des Dolan have handed Garrycastle the lead after roughly 20 minutes of play.

15.01Thurles 1-9 Kilmallock 0-10

A Johnny Enright free has given Thurles some breathing space after 42 minutes.

15.24FULL-TIME: Thurles 2-12 Kilmallock 0-15

The visitors have sealed their place in the Munster SHC semi-final, thanks to late points from Pa Bourke and Michael O’Brien.

15.55HALF-TIME: Cratloe 0-6 Newmarket-on-Fergus 2-6

Cratloe have it all to do in the second half, with two goals from Shane O Brien proving the difference so far between the sides.

16.09HALF-TIME: Meath SFC final – Navan O’Mahony’s 1-6 Wolfe Tones 0-4.

A Shane Gillespie goal inside the first minute got his side off to the perfect start, and they dominated for the most part thereafter.

16.20FULL-TIME: Loughgiel Shamrocks (Antrim) 2-15 Portaferry (Down) 0-12

All-Ireland club champions Loughgiel retain their Ulster title with a convincing win over Portaferry.

Shea Casey and Liam Watson got the goals either side of half-time.

16.23FULL-TIME: Kilkenny SHC semi-final: James Stephens 0-16 Dicksboro 1-15.

And the champions have been knocked out following a thrilling finale.

16.30FULL-TIME: Clare SHC final - Full Time: Newmarket 3-10 Cratloe 0-9.

Newmarket are champions of Clare in what was a largely one-sided game.

16.40FULL-TIME – Kerry SFC final: Dr Crokes 2-13 Dingle 0-8

It’s all over and Dr Crokes are champions of Kerry for the third time in succession, having delivered a hugely impressive performance today.

Speaking to TG4, Colm Cooper praises his side’s “resilience” and says they’ll “enjoy tonight”. He admits they have “a huge task ahead” in maintaining such a strong level of performance.

16.48Tipperary SFC semi-finals:  Clonmel Commercials 4-11 Loughmore Castleiney 4-9.

Clonmel are through to the final, after an incredibly high-scoring affair, in which extra-time was needed to separate the teams.

16.57FULL-TIME: Meath SFC final: Navan O’Mahony’s 1-11 Wolfe Tones 0-7.

It’s finished in Páirc Tailteann, and Navan O’Mahony’s have triumphed in the final by a considerable margin.

They will now meet Emmet Óg Killoe in the Leinster Club SFC.
