GAA announce football qualifier fixture details

The times, dates and venues have been released for next weekend’s championship ties.

MEATH AND DOWN will both attempt to salvage their seasons in All-Ireland SFC round four qualifier ties next Saturday in the wake of their respective provincial final losses yesterday.

The Royals will play Laois in Tullamore next Saturday at 3.30pm while Down meet Tipperary in Mullingar at 4pm. The remaining two games will take place that evening between Kildare and Sligo in Dr Hyde Park and Kerry take on Clare in the Gaelic Grounds.

There is also minor hurling action next Saturday with Galway playing Wexford in Tullamore while Clare face Down in Mullingar.

Saturday July 28th
All-Ireland SFC Qualifier Round 4:
Meath v Laois, O’Connor Park, Tullamore, 3.30pm; Tipperary v Down, Cusack Park, Mullingar, 4pm; Kildare v Sligo, Dr Hyde Park, Roscommon, 6.30pm; Kerry v Clare, Gaelic Grounds, Limerick, 7pm.
All-Ireland MHC Quarter-Finals: Galway v Wexford, O’Connor Park, Tullamore, 1.30pm; Clare v Down, Cusack Park, Mullingar, 2pm.

On Sunday the focus will be on Semple Stadium when the All-Ireland senior hurling quarter-finals both take place.

Sunday July 29th
All-Ireland SHC Quarter-Finals: Cork v Waterford, Semple Stadium, 2pm; Kilkenny v Limerick, Semple Stadium, 4pm.

    A fantastic player and career. Considering his injury record he’s been astonishingly successful.

    Hopefully his injuries don’t cause him too much trouble going forward.
