QPR GOALKEEPER PADDY KENNY may be in line for an international recall as injuries continue to decimate Giovanni Trapattoni’s Irish squad.

Coventry City netminder Kieren Westwood is the latest in a long line of concerns for the Irish boss as he prepares to name his panel for the important Euro 2012 clash with Macedonia on 26 March.

With first-choice keeper Shay Given ruled out due to a recurring shoulder injury, Trapattoni was prepared to give Westwood his first competitive cap. The 26-year-old has been capped five times in friendly internationals since making his debut against Nigeria in May 2009.

However, a hip injury forced Westwood’s replacement at half-time of Coventry’s 4-1 defeat at home to Bristol City on Saturday. It is not yet known how long the keeper will be sidelined for.

Should Westwood also be ruled out of the Macedonia game, Trapattoni will be forced to look elsewhere for a goalkeeper. Of the available options, Kenny is the most experienced choice with seven international caps under his belt.

Birmingham City reserve Colin Doyle is also an option. The 25-year-old’s sole senior appearance to date came in 1-1 friendly draw against Ecuador in May 2007.

Milwall keeper David Forde and Motherwell’s Darren Randolph are also potential options for Trapattoni should he chose to offer a first senior appearance to a previously-uncapped keeper.

Westwood isn’t Trap’s only injury concern. Here are some of the other players who the Italian might have to plan without.
