FORMER SAMOA CENTRE Eliota Fuimaono-Sapolu says that “if Hitler had an interest in rugby” and had provided the money for the All Blacks to tour Nazi Germany then they would have done so.

The 33-year-old, who had a three-season spell with Premiership side Gloucester, made the remark in a YouTube video expressing his displeasure at New Zealand’s ongoing refusal to tour Polynesia.

If Hitler had an interest in rugby and fronted the money and showed it to the All Blacks, told them to come tour Nazi Germany, the All Blacks would,” said Fuimaono-Sapolu.

Steve Hansen’s side will jet off to Chicago in November to face the US in an ‘historic’ Test match, but Fuimaono-Sapolu is unhappy that no fixtures in Samoa, Tonga or Fiji have been realistically considered.

Fuimaono-Sapolu has never been afraid to express his beliefs openly and was charged with misconduct by the IRB in 2011 after claiming that referee Nigel Owens was “racist” and “biased”.
