FOUR CONNACHT PLAYERS have signed contract extensions with the club, it has been announced.
Centre Kyle Tonetti, lock Dave Gannon and scrum halves Paul O’Donohoe and Dave Moore have all committed their futures to the province.
Tonetti and O’Donohoe have signed on for two years, while Gannon and Moore have signed one-year extensions.
Speaking following this news, Eric Elwood commended the players in question and emphasised their value:
“Competition for the scrum-half jersey has been fierce this season and that has brought out the best in the players so it’s great to have Paul and Dave Moore, along with Frank Murphy, competing in that position. Kyle has been outstanding for us in the centre in both attack and defence and Dave Gannon provides us with a range of options in the forwards, he has really shown his versatility playing in both the second-row and back-row so we’re delighted to have him on board as well.”
Meanwhile, it has been announced that George Naoupu has been named Player of the Month for the province.
Connacht’s next game is against Munster at 7.45pm this Saturday.
