JAKE CARROLL AND CHRIS Forrester will be at St Patrick’s Athletic for at least one more year, after it was announced by the club that the duo have signed new contracts ahead of the upcoming season.

21-year-old Carroll is regarded as one of the league’s brightest prospects, while Forrester was rewarded for his performances last season with the PFAI Young Player of the Year.

The pair join Ian Bermingham, John Russell, Ger O’Brien, Conor Kenna, Kenny Browne, Anthony Flood and Christy Fagan, all of whom have re-signed for the club.

“We were delighted that so many players from last year were eager to sign for us again,” team manager Liam Buckley added.

“It’s a sign that they are confident that we can be even more successful next year.”

Buckley also confirmed that the club have captured Conan Byrne, who previously played for Shelbourne, in addition to signing former Shamrock Rovers man, Killian Brennan.

More signings are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
