FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR might be the world’s most famous gambling athlete.
And he upped the ante recently when he bet $1.1 million on Oregon to beat Arizona State. The Ducks were favoured by 7.5 points and won 43-21, earning Mayweather $1 million.
This isn’t Mayweather’s first big bet. He once won $333,333 on Alabama, and nearly a half-million on the Ravens. This might not even be Mayweather’s first million dollar bet as there was a rumour that he bet $1 million on the Patriots to beat the Tim Tebow-led Broncos.
Of course, Mayweather never tells us about the bets he loses. Knowing he likes to throw down big money frequently it seems safe to assume that he has probably lost a million dollar bet once or twice.
Here’s the ticket that Mayweather revealed on Twitter…
Mr Moneybags himself….he’s got some balls and not just in the ring….I’d love to see his beaten dockets……there surely bigger than my €5 ones.
