Armagh’s Aaron Findon knocked a member of the Donegal medical staff on his backside before he legged it for the sideline. The ref did think it was a yellow and Findon has since been replaced.

He was breaking it up, not “going in like a tough man”. Shouldn’t have been in there, but it’s not as if he was squaring up to lads.

Armagh players were involved in a brawl during the pre-match parade earlier this summer. Because of how that was reported, they have refused to speak to the media since. And now this, pushing a doctor. Outrageous. They’re not a likeable bunch at all. I’m glad they got knocked out by Donegal.
3 points:
1) What was the doctor doing getting involved in a brawl – after the brawl he ran the whole way back to the subs bench without even looking at a Donegal player.
2) You can’t see from this video but the doctor was pushing at Findon in the face beforehand, so it was more of a reaction than an unprovoked push. If you stick your finger in someones mouth you should expect it to be bit?
3) The media ban was in reaction to unfair commentary .i.e. various journo’s reported that Armagh planned the brawl vs Cavan and that Armagh attacked Marty Dunne because he had to go off injured after it. Later video evidence proved that Cavan in fact ran into Armagh starting the brawl and that Dunne broke his hand by punching an Armagh player who was on the ground. Rather than reversing their view the media reacted by keeping up this unfair perception that Armagh are bully boys. They’re not completely innocent but it gets blown out of proportion a lot.
Have to agree Declan, was in there watching it myself and think that Armagh are getting a lot if the stick, Donegal were no angels themselvess
